Our philosophy is to enable landlords and Property Management Companies (PMCs), to offer tenants the ability to handpick a service provider and a connectivity medium that best serves the tenants requirements. EPX provides connectivity to the site, which is then segmented into an open access format. This allows each tenant the ability to select their required service and preferred service provide without having multiple physical connections terminating at the property. This is all enabled through “ aggregation ”.Through aggregation we are able to provide our clients with a constantly growing portfolio of services in an ever changing market, from a wide coverage of last mile technologies, be it wireless or 3G, fibre or copper.
EPX leverages off the Echo SP core network to offer the PMCs and tenants with the benefits of VPN technology. Allowing connectivity across varying technologies into a single seamless network is what we do best. Our vision was always to allow flexibility to clients across networks, not just on the last mile technology, but throughout the clients network.
To this the Echo VPN Exchange has been specifically designed to allow multiple VPN’s to interact and allow traffic to flow safely between one another in a controlled, managed and secure manner.
Clients requiring interaction with suppliers, clients or partners, on a different VPN and with a different supplier, can now do so without requiring additional, unnecessary connectivity and complexity. The VPN Exchange Service makes convergence, between networks, a reality.
The effect of combining “open access” and “aggregation” is a reduction in administrative and time constraints with regard to implementing services and negotiating terms. Where tenants require comparative offerings or alternatives, the landlords (through EPX) are able to provide options on all Internet Service Provider (ISP) Networks. This applies to new and existing tenants. New tenants will benefit from quicker deployments times and a variety of service options whilst the existing tenants can investigate better pricing options and value added solutions. In addition the landlords will be empowered to offer connectivity services and applications to all sites and locations within their property portfolio.
With the extension of “business in the cloud” services, landlords can differentiate their offering by ensuring that their buildings are lit by multiple Internet Service Providers, allowing tenants to have immediate access to diverse and redundant services. Tenants will not be limited to connectivity into their internal corporate applications, but will have access to internet and cloud based applications that will both enable and enhance business efficiency and productivity.
This model removes the complexities associated with the implementation of connectivity for new tenants, as well as providing a single point of accountability to an aggregation/open access practice and philosophy. In addition it creates additional revenue streams for the property management companies, property owners or landlords.
